Kim Zolciak Addresses Borrowing Money From Daughter Ariana Biermann—and Reveals How She Spent It

Over a month after the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum’s daughter Ariana Biermann, 23, alleged that she and estranged husband Kroy Biermann took money from her amid their tumultuous split, Kim addressed the accusation.
“The rug was pulled out from the Zolciaks,” she told Andy Cohen during the July 31 episode of Watch What Happens Live. “Ariana’s money was spent on bills, to be honest. I was left holding the bag for the family.”
The 47-year-old also clarified if she and Kroy—who filed for divorce for the third time in February after nearly 14 years of marriage—borrowed money from their oldest daughter, 28-year-old Brielle Biermann.
“Brielle paid an electric bill here and there,” she explained. “I was left with nothing, so I had to figure it out fast.”
Though Kim—also mom to kids Kroy Jr., 14, Kash, 12, as well as 11-year-old twins Kaia and Kane with the NFL alum—didn’t share how much money Ariana loaned her, she’s already creating a plan to pay back her debt.
“The money I borrowed from Ariana, I paid her back—for the bills and stuff,” she continued. “And as far as what she’s made? I don’t have the spreadsheets, but she will be [paid back].”
Indeed, the Next Gen NYC star accused her parents of spending all the money she’s earned since she was a kid amid their financial difficulties. In the June 3 premiere of the Bravo series, Ariana noted that while she’s “been on TV since I was 5 years old,” she didn’t start earning a paycheck until she was a teen.
“I got my first brand deal when I was 14,” she explained at the time. “I was doing like three posts a week and you get paid astronomical to do a story or to do an Instagram post and I made quite a bit of money. But unfortunately, my parents took my money. I can’t say exactly what they used it on, because I just found out that it was gone two years ago.”
And while her family’s financial history is complicated, she reassured that she’ll never place a dollar sign above her tight-knit bond with Kim.
“My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever,” Ariana said during her June 29 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “Money should never ruin a relationship with your family. You can always make more money, and God blesses us in that way. I have my mom, and that's all that matters."
